Heidenhain EXE 8„ Adapter

Connection cables for X, Y, and Z axes (1m long each), featuring M23 12-pin connectors as well as 25-pin D connectors (male/female).
Designed for use directly at the connection point of EXE8.. or EXE9.. units to verify
both the signals from the measuring systems and the functionality of the "EXE" unit
itself, using a PWM-8 or PWM-9 device in conjunction with a TTL adapter.
The adapter can be inserted directly into the line between the EXE unit and the CNC-Controller/
axis-counter, allowing for signal verification while the machine is in motion.
To achieve maximum accuracy, EXE 808, 816, 827, 828, 829, and similar models must
be calibrated when used with rotary encoders or open linear measuring systems. For
new units, this can be performed at the factory. In the event of a repair or replacement,
calibration must be carried out according to the installation instructions. The EXE 8„
adapter is required for this process.

This adapter was previously used by a German printing press manufacturer which has
since become insolvent where it was an essential tool for repairs and maintenance.
